City & Guilds NPTC Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting

This course teaches proper care for the chainsaw for commercial or non-commercial applications. It covers preventative and corrective maintenance needed to prolong the longevity of the tool. The course also teaches cross-cutting operations, cross-cutting timber under tensions, horizontal stems, and other timber that needs further processing.

City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting and Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm

This course combines chainsaw maintenance with cross-cutting, tree felling, and tree processing. It offers its participants a higher standard of tree management from the ground level. This is essential for those seeking a career in tree surgery. 

City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-Chipper

This course discusses the proper maintenance of a manually fed woodchipper. The course teaches pre- and post-operational checks and other tasks that are designed to preserve the equipment. It also touches on the safety measures to be taken when using woodchippers.

City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Tree Climbing and Rescue

This is an introductory course into aerial tree work. Participants will gain experience in climbing trees using both ladders and other equipment. They will also carry out different rescues and recoveries with both conscious and unconscious casualties.
